SASSA might be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regard to the large variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of more info the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The provider position developed for intervention experiences a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
