Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are now open and may close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house which has a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence earnings does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not post any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and nsfas login permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 nsfas login for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to check here provide the right Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
